Viewing Sensor Data in Aranet Cloud

Aranet Cloud can display many WET150 values. You only see the ones you enable.

Start by confirming your calibration profile and model. Use Base Station and Aranet Cloud Configuration.

Enable metrics (Cloud)

  1. Open Sensors in Aranet Cloud.

  2. Select your WET150 sensor.

  3. Open the metric selection.

Choose the metrics you want to display. Common picks:

  • VWC

  • Temperature

  • ECb (bulk electrical conductivity)

  • ECp (pore electrical conductivity)

If a metric is missing, it is usually just hidden. Enable it in the sensor settings.

View graphs (Cloud and Base Station)

In Aranet Cloud, open Analytics to view time-series graphs.

In Base Station, open Graphs. Click Metrics. Set each parameter to Show.

VWC over an irrigation cycle

VWC usually rises after irrigation. It then falls as plants uptake water and evaporation occurs.

Use the trend and the timing first. Do not fixate on a single absolute value.

ECb and ECp basics

ECb is a bulk measurement. It depends on water content and salinity.

ECp is calculated from ECb and VWC. It uses your selected Hilhorst model.

Why ECp can move differently than ECb

As VWC drops, salts stay in the substrate. Concentration can increase.

The ECp calculation also becomes more sensitive at low VWC. Short-term fluctuations are normal.
