Overview

Aranet Pro series sensors are wireless measurement devices designed to collect environmental and process data and transmit it to an Aranet Pro base station. The base station receives measurements from multiple sensors, stores the data, and provides access through the web interface or integrations.

Pro series sensors are used in various monitoring applications, including agriculture, industrial environments, building management, and research. Each sensor measures specific parameters such as temperature, humidity, CO₂ concentration, soil conditions, or other environmental variables, depending on the sensor model.

Sensors communicate with the base station using Sub-GHz wireless radio technology, allowing reliable data transmission over long distances in outdoor environments and stable communication indoors.

Sensor operation

Pro series sensors periodically measure environmental parameters and transmit the readings to the base station according to the configured measurement interval.

The base station then:

  • collects measurements from all paired sensors

  • stores historical measurement data

  • provides visualization through dashboards and charts

  • allows exporting or integrating the data with external systems

Depending on the deployment and licensing, a single base station can support multiple sensors within the same monitoring network.

Pairing sensors

Before a sensor can transmit data, it must be paired with the Aranet PRO base station. During the pairing process, the base station registers the sensor and begins receiving its measurements.

For best results during pairing, place the sensor close to the base station. After pairing is completed, the sensor can operate at significantly greater distances depending on the environment.

Sensor configuration and management

After pairing, sensors can be configured and managed from the base station interface or Aranet Cloud. Common configuration options include:

  • setting measurement intervals

  • assigning sensor names for easier identification

  • configuring alarm thresholds

  • monitoring measurement history

  • exporting collected data

Some sensor types may also require periodic calibration to maintain measurement accuracy.
