Firmware
The firmware submenu shows the current software version and allows you to update it. The procedure for updating the firmware is explained here: Updating the Firmware.
The semi-automatic update has been implemented since the base station's firmware v. 3.0.1; manual update is possible too. For a semi-automatic firmware update, the base station must be connected to the internet.
When navigating to this menu, the Aranet base station connects to the SAF Tehnika server over the HTTPS protocol TCP on port 443, to check for newer firmware version availability.
If a newer firmware version is released, a notification is shown.

If the base is not connected to the internet, the error message is displayed.

To update the firmware, press the INSTALL button. After confirming the update with an Administrator password, the process will start. The following message is displayed when the process is finished:

The software update usually takes about two minutes to complete. During that period, the device will reboot to complete the update. After the firmware upgrade, if the Aranet Pro/Pro Plus web interface does not function properly, we recommend clearing the browser’s cache.
Example of clearing the cache for the Chrome web browser:
Open Chrome
At the top right, click More

Click on Delete browsing data.
At the top, choose a timer range. To delete everything, select All time.
Next, check the boxes for "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files".
Click Delete from this Device.
