Identifying Sensors and Sensor ID
Each sensor is assigned 2 unique numbers that are printed on its physical marking label:
sensor ID, which is a 5-digit hexadecimal number;
serial number, which is a 12-digit decimal number.
Sensor ID is used to distinguish the sensors, also in the Aranet base station graphical interface and Aranet Cloud.
To find the sensor ID in the Aranet base station, go to the sensor settings, open the respective sensor settings page and hover over the part number. You will see the 5-character ID, part number below, and when hovering, also the SegVar number with the FW version that is on the sensor.
SegVar defines the sensor hardware and can be used by the third party systems for distinguishing the sensors by type.
